The Corduroy collection brings the warmth of corduroy fabric into ceramics. Vertical grooves travel across the surface, inviting both touch and contemplation. The relief enhances the play of light and shadow, evoking the softness of corduroy in contrast with the firmness of grogged clay.
In this model, four handles ascend from the body with a grounded yet elegant presence, extending the vertical rhythm of the silhouette. Echoing the lineage of ancient amphorae, the form is reimagined in a contemporary gesture, while the grooves heighten the upward tension and the subtle interplay of contrasts.
Material: ochre grogged refractory clay
Modeling: hand-built (without wheel or mold)
