DRESSED MATTER
A JOURNEY THROUGH TEXTURE, BODY, AND MEMORY
I am Chiquinquirá Bonnet, the creative hands of Bonnet Studio. Guided by intuition and by the quiet search for a language of my own, I arrived at ceramics in 2017. Since then, clay has become a landscape to dwell in — a material that shifts between texture and emotion, holding memory in every surface it carries.

My first collection, Dressed Matter, finds in everyday fabrics a poetic path that redefines contemporary ceramics. This collection forms a subtle yet steady bridge between clay and textile texture, leading each piece into a territory charged with tactile memory and aesthetic sensitivity — beyond the realm of the utilitarian.
The collection unfolds through three main lines: Denim, Corduroy and Jacquard — each inspired by a distinct fabric and its own imaginary world.
I like to think of my pieces as garments of the earth: inhabited forms that hold the warmth of touch, translating the everyday into a poetic territory where matter becomes emotion.
Through Bonnet Studio, I explore the delicate conversation between body, object, and memory — inviting a way of seeing in which ceramics are not merely looked at, but felt.
