The Corduroy collection brings the warmth of corduroy fabric into ceramics. Vertical grooves travel across the surface, inviting both touch and contemplation. The relief enhances the play of light and shadow, evoking the softness of corduroy in contrast with the firmness of grogged clay.
In this model, four handles emerge from the shoulder and curve gracefully toward the neck, tracing a fluid ascent. The silhouette evokes the ancient amphora, reimagined as a contemporary form. The grooves wrap around the body, weaving rhythm between form and texture, and enhancing its sculptural presence.
Material: beige grogged refractory clay
Modeling: hand-built (without wheel or mold)
Firing: high-temperature (1220ºC)
